I say this in the best way possible... This movie is the equivalent of a trashy beach read. It's a guilty pleasure, a silly romance, buy hey. It's cute.

Director: Sarasawadee Wongsompetch (female, whoo!)
Where to Watch: Surprisingly, Youtube!
Google User Rating: Doesn't say!
"Thank you, thanks that you dare to love me." (Kim)
This movie was made in Thailand, so of course it's in Thai! I must say, the translations are kind of wack sometimes, but it's more funny than confusing. Thailand is very open about being LBTQ friendly, so they have quite a few lesbian dramas! I may watch more in the near future... we'll see.
Quick Synopsis
Like any other cheesy romance, the plot isn't too complicated. Pie doesn't like her roommate at Uni, and requests another one, however her new roommate, Kim, isn't much better! Kim is a "tom," aka a tomboy, aka a butch lesbo, and is everything Pie's mother

taught her not to like (because of the whole gender roles/conservative views deal). Kim has no problem with Pie, but Pie refuses to share a space with her new roommate, even going as far as to put down tape on the floor to divide the room. Eventually, however, they learn more about each other and start hanging out, along with Pie's friend Jane who's smitten with Kim from the first time they met. This isn't a problem until Pie begins to catch feelings for her roommate, but of course she won't admit it. A couple bumps in the road later, and Kim reveals her true feelings about Pie. Pie, still not so sure she can admit her feelings due to her fears of homophobia, denies Kim... but after some time gives in. But she isn't ready to tell the world about their relationship, will she ever be? What about her friend Jane who's in love with Kim? How will her conservative mother react if she ever finds out? You'll just have to see!
Official Review
Ehhh. What can I say, it's cute. Gonna be honest, don't love Kim's... mullet? Not working for me, and Pie can be whiny as hell sometimes. There is no nudity or sex in this movie, just maybe a couple kisses and what not, this really is just a family friendly cutesy film. Except for

one part at the end. One scene took me by surprise, it was super off the cuff. Anyways, overall, this movie made me laugh. There were some scenes so damn cheesy and so cliche that I couldn't help but laugh out loud, and at the end of the day if a movie makes you laugh, I guess it's worth watching. Personally, I didn't think the romantic chemistry was the best. Wasn't bad, it was just exactly what you'd expect from this type of movie. I know I'm being harsh, I think it's just because I never was a "beach read" kind of girl, I'm more into deeper movies. Or at least better movies. I'm not even that sure what to say other than it was cute? It was pretty long too, 1 hr and 50 minutes was way more than needed, I was getting a bit bored, but I will say the middle was pretty good, I enjoyed it. It covered some good topics about non-supportive parents and a fear of coming out which may be relatable, also I really loved how many other

LGBT characters there were besides Kim and Pie, so there's that. If there's one reason I'd recommend this movie though, it would be for those silly romance scenes where cheesy romance music starts playing when they accidentally touch hands or whatever, this movie had tons of those and it really was hilarious. Besides that, it was predictable (except for that one scene I mentioned, that really was a big "bruh" moment, my jaw dropped) but it had it's really good moments. I kept watching not out of obligation (for the review) but out of interest, so that says something. There is a second movie, but I don't think I'll watch it...
Cast/Heartthrobs
Sucharat Manaying (Pie) was very traditionally pretty, so was Jane (Arisara Tongborisuth), but

I was watching the movie outside in the sun and it made it really hard to see everyone's face, and Pie and Jane had very similar hair and bodies and it was so confusing at times, whoops! Kim (Suppand Jittaleela) did a pretty good job, I give her a lot of credit, her performance
was probably the most emotional to me, and she has a great face... it was just the hair combined with the weird 2000s boy outfits? Not good... But be fair, she was pretty hot whenever she was just in lounge wear. Usually I love mullets on women but this one was just not it. Pretty standard comedy/drama cast though. Maybe I'll say above average... maybe.
